Nowadays, the key card is widely used in hotels. In order to get
access to their reserved rooms, guests are given reusable chip-based access
cards known as keycards when they check into a hotel. They have embedded
Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) chips. Hotel Key Cards are activated by entering the same data into
hardware that is connected to the hotel's front desk. Then, the key card switch
mechanisms on the door of the impacted room confirm that the hotel key cards in question belong to
the owner.
